It refers to lithium-ion batteries installed in equipment / transported together with equipment (lithium-ion batteries contained in equipment / packed with equipment).
Two situations:
1) The battery is already installed inside the machine (battery inside the equipment).
2) The battery and equipment are in the same package but the battery is not installed (companion packaging in the same case).
Air packaging: PI966 (installed in equipment) / PI967 (packed with equipment).
Examples: a complete EMU with batteries already installed; equipment + spare battery exported in the same case.
